Overload treated as arithmetic, not a feeling: audit what is actually demanded of you in hours, triage honestly when the total cannot be done, hold the work in a system instead of your head, protect deep-work time, cut meeting and message load at its true cost, and then change the demand itself — renegotiating deadlines and scope, declining work well, and having the manager conversation about load early, with evidence and options.
