What this course teaches. The daily practice of leading a team: why formal authority starts the job but never finishes it, knowing nine different people well enough to lead each of them, direction the team can repeat and standards it can see, and the leader's everyday instruments — the one-to-one, delegation, feedback, the coaching conversation, the meeting — used to develop people instead of merely moving tasks, held together through conflict, thin resources, and the hard weeks.
