What this course teaches. Running knowledge work as a flow system: making the work visible on a board, replacing push with pull, limiting work in progress, and managing the flow of items rather than the busyness of people — the four flow measures and the arithmetic that connects them, cumulative flow, explicit policies, classes of service, replenishment and review cadences, bottlenecks, forecasting from evidence, and improving the system by experiment.
